375 <br /> <br /> The Cabarrus County Commissioners met at a call meeting Monday, May 31, 1965 <br />at 7:00 p.m. at the Courthouse. <br />Present: Chairman, C. Frank James <br /> <br /> Commissioners, Oren Hill, McNeil Petrea, Frank McCray, Smoot Lyles <br /> <br /> Meeting called to order by Chairman James. The 1965-66 budget was discussed <br />with Alfred Hurt, county accountant. Jay Robinson, Supt. of County Schools was <br />present to discuss the county school budget. <br /> <br /> M. S. Lyles offered the following resolution, which was seconded by Oren <br /> <br />Hill: <br /> <br /> RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners request our representative, <br />Honorable Dwight W. Quinn to introduce a bill in the legislature to enable <br />Cabarrus County to levy a special purposetax to acquire county buildings and <br />county building sites, not in excess of 2¢ on $100 valuation for a period of <br />not exceeding four years, beginning with fiscal year commencing July 1, 1965. <br />Vote carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Having no further business, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> ~-- Clerk to Board <br /> <br /> <br />
