The Cabarrus County Commissioners met at a call meeting October 6, 1966 at the <br />Courthouse. Present were: <br /> <br /> Chairman, C. Frank james <br /> <br /> Commissioners, M. Smoot Lyles, C. McNeil Petrea, Oren J. Hill <br /> Absent - W. Frank McCray <br /> <br /> A discussion of the traffic problem and the need for a safety officer for the Hartsell <br />School was held by the Board, S§t. Hofler of the State Highway Patrol, Sheriff J. B. Roberts, <br />County School Superintendent and Principal Evans. Upon motion by Lyles, seconded by Hill, <br /> <br />the vote was unanimous to hire a safety officer for Hartsell School. <br /> <br /> Upon motion by Hill, seconded by Petrea, the vote was unanimous to replace S. W. Colerider <br />with W. E. Overcash on the One Mile Perimeter Plann. and Zoning Board due to Mr. Colerider <br />moving into the City. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Frances Long, Welfare Department Director, requested the Board to set the rate <br />to be paid to the banks for handling transactions in the Food Stamp Plan. A £ee o£ <br />for each transaction was recommended.
