520 <br /> <br /> The Cabarrus Board of County Commissioners met in a special call meeting on Friday, <br /> <br /> April ?, 1967, at 7:30 P.M. in the little Courtroom°of the Courthouse in 3oint session with <br /> the Concord City Board of Aldermen and Board of Light and Water of Concord. Adiscussion <br /> of the need for a water line for a proposed Westinghouse Plant in Harrisburg area was held. <br /> According to the cost estimated submitted by Don Howell of the Light and Water Department, <br /> Cabarrus Countyts share of the cost of this line would amount to approximately $160,~0.00. <br /> It was pointed out that the County could use non-tax revenues and levy a special tax without <br /> requesting special legislation to provide the necessary funds. Upon motion by Rankin, <br /> seconded by Petrea, the Board voted unanimously to participate in the proposed plan with the <br /> City of Concord and the Light and Water Department. <br /> <br /> With no further business, the meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> Cl~rk t~ Board <br /> <br /> The regular monthly meeting of the Cabarrus County Commissioners was held at 9:30 a.m. <br /> <br /> on May 1, 1967, with the following members present: <br /> Chairman - C. Frank James <br /> <br /> Commissioners - White, Petrea, Hawfield, and Rankin. <br /> <br /> Meeting was called to order by Chairman James. Prayer was by the Reverend E. P. Love. <br /> <br /> Minutes were read by Arvonia Cochran and stand approved as corrected on page 519. <br /> <br /> Upon motion by Hawfield, seconded by Rankin, the Board voted to appoint Mm. Guy Isenhour <br /> <br /> to replace Mr. Marshall Brafford on the County Zoning and Planning Board. <br /> <br /> A discussion of the County purchasing the old Post Office building was held. No action <br /> <br /> was taken on this matter. <br /> <br /> <br />
