The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in special session at the <br />Courthouse in Concord, North Carolina on Tuesda~ May 14, 1974, at 4:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> Present - Chairman: S. Glenn Hawfield, Jr. <br /> <br /> Commissioners: Robert A. McClary <br /> Charles Gallimore <br /> C. Frank James <br /> John A. Hammett <br /> <br /> George Griffin and Nancy Templeton reported on the furniture and graphics for the new <br />courthouse. <br /> <br /> On motion of Commissioner McClary, seconded by Commissioner Gallimore the following <br />resolution adopted: <br /> <br /> Be it resolved that Cabarrus County exercise the option to purchase the ambulance <br /> <br />building presently being used as an ambulance headquarters, the same being Lots 16 and 17 in Block <br />"D" of Parkwood as provided in Lease Agreement dated September 4, 1973, and recorded in <br />Deed Book 437 page 446, Cabarrus County Registry, for the option price of Twelve Thousand <br />Dollars ($12,000.00). <br /> <br /> Also, be it resolved to exercise the option to purchase the property of Central Dis- <br />tributing Company at the Northwest intersection of N. C. Highway 49 and U. S. Highway 601 <br />for the option price of Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00). <br /> <br /> McClary made motion to approve the contract for the continuation of the educational <br />incentive program with Central Piedmont Criminal Justice Planning Agency.
