The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in special session at <br /> <br />the CourthouSe in Concord, North Carolina on Thursday, August 22, 1974, at 4:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> Present - Chairman: S. Glenn Hawfield, Jr. <br /> <br /> Commissioners: Robert A. McClary <br /> Charles Gallimore <br /> C. Frank James <br /> John A. Hammett <br /> <br /> George Griffin, Architect, and Nancy Templeman presented their recommendations <br /> <br />on bids for furnishings and accessories for the new Courthouse. Commissioner Hammett <br /> <br />made motion to award the bids as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 5 - all except subsection AT and HE to Millers Office Equipment for $110,540.81 <br /> Subsection AT and HE of Section 5 to Kale Officer Outfitters for $7,174.70 <br /> Section 6 - to Custom Interiors for $25,439.55 contingent upon color match <br /> Section 7 - to Millers Office Equipment for $1,695.00 <br /> <br /> Section 8 - to Hinkle Wholesale Office Equipment for $20,669.94 <br /> <br />Motion seconded by Commissioner James and vote unanimously carried. <br /> <br /> The Board decided to invite the promoters and those involed in the August Jam, along <br /> <br />with the candidates to the North Carolina General Assembly, to attend the September <br /> <br />meeting to discuss the event. <br /> <br /> Having no futher business, the meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> Clerk Go the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
