52 <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met <br /> <br />in regular session at the Courthouse in Concord, North Carolina <br /> <br />on Tuesday, July 12, 1977 at 9:30 a. m. <br /> <br /> Present - Chairman: S. Glenn Hawfield, Jr. <br /> <br /> Commissioners: Robert A. McClary <br /> John A. Hammett <br /> Marcelle Milloway <br /> Troy R. Cook <br /> <br /> The invocation was given by the Reverend David Argo of <br /> <br />North Kannapolis United Methodist Church. <br /> <br /> The minutes of June 27, 1977 were corrected to read legis- <br />lators instead of congressmen. Upon motion of Commissioner <br />Hammeqt, seconded by Commissioner Milloway and carried, the <br />minutes of June 9, 16, 21 and the corrected minutes of June 27, <br />1977 were approved. <br /> <br /> The Board told Mrs. Jones that if they could raise 75% of <br /> <br />the participant cost for paving the streets in Spring Valley, it <br />could possibly be worked out with state to pave the streets. <br /> <br /> The County Planner is to have the revised sub-division <br />ordinance ready to present at the next meeting. <br /> <br /> Upon motion of Commissioner Hammett, seconded by Commissioner <br />McClary and carried, Carl A. Measmer was appointed to the Manpower <br />Advisory Council. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Hammett made motion to appoint Jesse Hennessee <br /> <br />to the Council on the Status of Women to replace Phil Smith. Motion <br />seconded by Commissioner Cook and vote carried. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Hammett made motion to adopt the following building <br />permit fee schedules effective July 1, 1977.
