56 <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in <br />recessed session at the County Courthouse in Concord, North Carolina on <br />Monday, February 27, 1989, at 4:00 P.m. <br /> Present - Chairman: James W. Lentz <br /> Commissioners: R. Giles Moss <br /> William G. Hamby, Jr. <br /> Martha H. Melvin <br /> Absent - Commissioner: Billy J. Simmons, Jr. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Chairman Lentz and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into Executive Session to <br />discuss possible land acquisition. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commiss£omer Melvin <br />and unanimously carried, the Executive Session was terminated. <br /> Chairman Lentz reported the Board had discussed possible land <br />acquisition in Executive Session and no action was taken. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Melvin <br />and unanimously carried, the Board moved to employ Talbert, Cox & <br />Associates, Inc. to conduct an update of the Environmental Impact <br />Report being prepared for the County airport in order to assist in <br />clearing up concerns with regard to some aspects of the Report and to <br />insure the Report is as accurate and complete as possible. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, the <br />meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
