585 <br /> <br /> The Board o~ Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in special <br />session in the Commissioners' Conference Room at the Cabarrus County Governmental <br />Center in Concord, North Carolina on Friday, May 15, 1998, at 6:30 P.M. The <br />purpose of the meeting was to conduct a closed session as authorized by North <br />Carolina General Statute 143-318.11(a)(6) to consider the qualifications of a <br />prospective County employee for the position of Tax Administrator. <br /> <br />Present - Chairman: Sue B. Casper <br /> Vice-Chair: Carolyn B. Carpenter <br /> Commissioner: Dr. Franklin C. Niblock, Jr. <br />Absent - Commissioners: Jeffrey L. Barnhart <br /> Kenneth Mills <br /> <br /> Mr. Don Moorhead, Human Resources Director, was also present for the <br />meeting and recorded the minutes in the absence of the Clerk. <br /> <br /> Chairman Casper called the meeting to order at 6:30 P.M. <br />Carpenter was absent for the beginning of the meeting. <br /> <br />Commissioner <br /> <br /> Chairman Casper made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Niblock, to go into <br />closed session as authorized by North Carolina General Statute 143-318.11(a)(6) <br />to consider the qualifications of a prospective County employee for the position <br />of Tax Administrator. Mr. Moorhead and the applicant(s) met with the Board <br />during the closed session. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Carpenter joined Chairman Casper and Commissioner Niblock in <br />the closed session at approximately 8:35 P.M. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Casper, seconded by Commissioner Niblock and <br />unanimously carried, the Board voted to end the closed session. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, Chairman Casper <br />adjourned the meeting at 8:45 P.M. <br /> <br />Frankie F.
