MINUTES SUPERVISORS - 11 - 1 1- ESTING CABARRUS SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT MEETING NO. 96: TIME: April 2, 1970 PLACE: District Office From: 7:10 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. PRESENT: L. D. Cato Jerry Myers Syvonne S. k- ABSENT: Baker Brooks C. C. Rimer 1. A joint meeting of t e District Supervisors and the Watershed Commissioners was called to order Chairman Coltrane. 2. Minutes of the March meeting were approved. 3. Chairman's Report: a. Mr. Jerry Myers, Zoning and Land Use Planner for Cabarrus County was introduced to the members present. Mr. Myers will be attending the joint meetings when possible for him to do so. b. Chairman Coltrane reported that beginning with the May meeting, the time would be changed to 7:30 P.M. C. Chairman Coltrane asked Mr. Parker to report on the Area III Spring meeting in Pittsboro, N. C., on April 1, 1970. Mr. Parker explained the meeting was informative with emphasis on items of interest within the area. The three main items of the meeting were: (1) Duties of a District Clerk (2) Catfish Farming and (3) North Central Piedmont RC&D Project. The RC&D Project was of special interest, because of plans to meet with other Districts of the immediate area to discuss the potential of the RC&D Project. Those attending were: Mr. S. I. Parker, Mr. J. Lewis Patterson and Mr. Hugh D. Price. d. Chairman Coltrane reported: (1) That all Supervisors fill in the card on Committee Assignments (NCASWCD) and return them to Mr. H. A. Smith according to his letter of March 5, 1970. (2) A letter dated March 6, 1970 explaining the price change of the Soil & Water Conservation booklets covering various subjects. (3) The 5000 Soil Stewardship bulletins were ordered on March 12, 1970.
