MINUTES <br />SUPERVISORS - 11 - 1 1- ESTING <br />CABARRUS SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT <br />MEETING NO. 96: <br />TIME: April 2, 1970 <br />PLACE: District Office <br />From: 7:10 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. <br />PRESENT: L. A joint meeting of t e District Supervisors and the Watershed Commissioners <br />was called to order Chairman Coltrane. <br />2. Minutes of the March meeting were approved. <br />3. Chairman's Report: <br />a. Mr. Jerry Myers, Zoning and Land Use Planner for Cabarrus County <br />was introduced to the members present. Mr. Myers will be <br />attending the joint meetings when possible for him to do so. <br />b. Chairman Coltrane reported that beginning with the May meeting, <br />the time would be changed to 7:30 P.M. <br />C. Chairman Coltrane asked Mr. Parker to report on the Area III <br />Spring meeting in Pittsboro, N. C., on April 1, 1970. Mr. <br />Parker explained the meeting was informative with emphasis on <br />items of interest within the area. The three main items of <br />the meeting were: (1) Duties of a District Clerk (2) Catfish <br />Farming and (3) North Central Piedmont RC&D Project. The <br />RC&D Project was of special interest, because of plans to meet <br />with other Districts of the immediate area to discuss the <br />potential of the RC&D Project. Those attending were: Mr. S. I. <br />Parker, Mr. J. Lewis Patterson and Mr. Hugh D. Price. <br />d. Chairman Coltrane reported: <br />(1) That all Supervisors fill in the card on Committee <br />Assignments (NCASWCD) and return them to Mr. H. A. <br />Smith according to his letter of March 5, 1970. <br />(2) A letter dated March 6, 1970 explaining the price change <br />of the Soil & Water Conservation booklets covering <br />various subjects. <br />(3) The 5000 Soil Stewardship bulletins were ordered on <br />March 12, 1970. <br />
