MINUTES <br />CABARRUS SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRIC <br />SUPERVISORS MEETING I <br />rv1 ! i <br />DATE: August 8, 1978 District Office 8:00 P.M. - 9:20 P.M. <br />PRESENT: <br />J. L. Patterson Frank Mitchell Carl Overcash Hugh D. Price <br />John T. McClure Paul Bowles C. William Cook Eyvonne McDaniel <br />Wesley B. Grart John Hammill.Jr. <br />Rev. Tom Hogan <br />Marvin J. Smith <br />ABSENT: S.W.Colerider <br />Joe B. Drye <br />1. Chairman Patterson called the meeting to order calling on Rev. <br />Hogan for prayer. <br />2. A motion was made, seconded and unanimously passed approving the <br />July minutes. <br />3. Chairman's report: <br />a. The Cabarrus Soil and Water District annual report for 1977-78 <br />has been completed and appropriately distributed. <br />b. The 1978-79 District plan of operations has been completed and <br />distributed. <br />4. Treasurer's report: <br />August 8, 1978 NET CASH IN BANK $2606.59 <br />5. The District Conservationist gave the following report: <br />Accomplished: 26 individual and groups assisted; 10 individuals <br />or groups applying practices; I conservation plan for 238 acres; <br />10 inventories and evaluations and 9 technical services provided. <br />Mr. Price reviewed: <br />a. Hollingsworth residential development plans off old <br />Salisbury Road. <br />b. Memorandums of Understanding between: (1) Department of <br />Agriculture and the District and (2) Soil Conservation <br />Service and,the District. <br />Mr. Price reported that funds have been appropriated for RC&D, <br />Clean Water Program and the Resource Conservation Act. <br />A public meeting is tenatively being planned to be held in August <br />on the Resource Conservation Act. <br />
