February 19, 2018 (Regular Meeting) Page 3445 <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Kiger, seconded by Commissioner Shue and <br />unanimously carried, the Board declared Emergency Medical Services Asset <br />8276 surplus property and authorized disposition in accordance with the County's <br />Vehicle Replacement Policy. <br />(F-3) Emergency Medical Services - Award of Surplus Ambulance to Roman-Cabarrus <br />Community College <br />Emergency Medical Services Ambulance 943 (County Asset 8277) is to be <br />declared surplus as a result of the County's Vehicle Replacement Policy. The <br />unit has been replaced with a new purchase. We request Asset 8277 be declared <br />surplus and awarded to the Rowan-Cabarrus Community College Emergency Medical <br />Services Educational Program. This will provide opportunities for those seeking <br />advanced Emergency Medical Services education in support of career goals and <br />demonstrates a continued partnership with local educational institutions. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Kiger,seconded by Commissioner Shue and <br />unanimously carried, the Board declared Emergency Medical Services Asset <br />8277 surplus property and authorized disposition in accordance with the County's <br />Vehicle Replacement Policy. <br />(F-4) Emergency Medical Services - Telestroke Project <br />Cabarrus County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is proposing the <br />implementation of an innovative first of its kind Telestroke Project. This <br />project brings EMS providers and patients together with neurologists from the <br />back of an ambulance. The County <br />and Board of Education agree that all amounts received as refunds of state sales <br />tax, with respect to expenditures made in connection with the project will be <br />deposited as funds available for the acquisition and construction of the project <br />or used to pay debt service on the installment financing issued to fund this <br />project. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Kiger, seconded by Commissioner Shue and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the Cabarrus County Schools Agency <br />Agreement for the new elementary school project, subject to review and revision <br />by the County Attorney. <br />(F-6) Finance Cabarrus County Schools Southwest Elementary School <br />Reimbursement Resolution <br />It is requested that the County advance its own funds to pay certain <br />original expenditures associated with the new Cabarrus County Southwest <br />Elementary School Project.
