19. On-Premises Siqn - A sign that is located on the <br />same premises with the business, service, commodity, etc., <br />to which it is directing attention. <br /> <br /> 20. Off-Premises Siqn - A sign other than an <br />on-premises sign. <br /> <br /> 21. Planned Development Si q~. ~ A sign used in <br />con)unction with an approved piaened residential, office, <br />businesses, industrial or mixed usc development. <br /> <br /> 22. Pole Siqn - A detached sign erected and maintained <br />on a freestanding frame, mast, or pole and not attached to <br />any building but not including ground-mounted signs. <br /> <br /> 23. Political Siqn - A sign that advertises a candidate <br />or issue to be voted upon on a definite election day. <br /> <br /> 24. Portable Siqn - A sign that is not permanently <br />attached to either the ground, a structure or a building, <br />nor was ever intended to be so attached, that can easily <br />be moved from one location to another. It may be equipped <br />for towing or possess an axle, wheel or wheel mechanism. <br /> <br />25. Proiectinq Siqn - Any sign other than a wall, <br />awning, canopy, or marquee sign, which is affixed to a <br />building and is supported only by the wall on which the sign <br />is mounted. <br /> <br /> 26. Public ~nterest Siqn - A sign on private property <br />that displays information pertinent to the safety or legal <br />responsibilities of the genera! publ ic such as warning and <br />no trespassing signs. <br /> <br /> 27. Real Estate Siqn - A sign that is used to offer for <br />sale, lease, or rent the premises upon which such sign is <br />placed. <br /> <br /> 28. Roof SiRe - A sign erected or maintained in whole <br />or ~n part upon or over the roof or parapet of a building. <br /> <br /> 2g.
