73 <br /> <br />Cashiers <br />Printer <br />Agricultural Extension Agents <br />Zoning Administration <br />Inspection Supervisor <br /> <br />EVALUATION OF ACCESSIBILITY TO PROGRAMS <br /> <br />The review of program accessibility was accomplished by interviewing <br />department heads. Each program and facility used was rated as to its <br />accessibility by citizens who seek service or participation in the program <br />offered by the department. Following is a list of departments and the <br />positive approaches that are in place or are being instituted. <br /> <br />Conclusion <br /> <br />No gross deficiences - no structural changes needed. <br /> <br />Positive actions in past - and currently instituted programs show <br />care is taken to prevent discrimination. <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT REVIEW <br /> <br />Health <br /> Ail facilities accessible. <br /> Outreach - home health to persons restricted in traveling. <br /> Interpreters on call for hearing impaired. <br /> Employees trained in dealing with physically impaired. <br /> <br />Agricultural Extension <br /> Main building is accessible. <br /> <br />Most programs are offered in facilities provided by the community <br />agencies and individuals that request the programs. <br /> <br />Zoning <br /> Most public contact is in the office or County Board room that is <br /> accessible. <br /> <br />Employees have been instructed to explain details of maps to visually <br />impaired. <br /> <br />Building Inspections <br /> Most public contact is in the office which is accessible. <br /> <br />Other contacts are made at construction sites owned by the public <br />(the county would not control these facilities). <br /> <br />Data Processing <br /> No public contact <br /> <br />Veterans Service~ <br /> Most contacts are in the office which is accessible. <br /> <br /> An outreach program is a major part of the departments activities. <br /> <br />Finance <br /> Limited public contact but the office is accessible. <br /> <br />Register of Deeds <br /> Public contact is in the Courthouse which is accessible. <br /> <br />Staff is encouraged to write out or explain material to people that <br />are visually or hearing impaired. <br /> <br />Almost all visitors coming for services bring a person to assist them <br />if they have any impairments. <br /> <br />Elections <br /> Some polling places are not accessible. <br /> <br /> <br />
