Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes
Decembers. 16, .1993

, . Page 1!.

home issue and report back to them at their second meeting in January, 1994. In honoring this
request, the Zoning Update Committee met before this meeting and looked at the issue and is
recommending to the full board that we not do anything with the revision. The revision was to
standardize mobile homes back to the definition section which is July 1, 1976. Our
recommendation is to leave it alone and evaluate what happens over the next two years and keep
records. If changes are needed at the time then we would go through and update the zoning
ordinance at that time. Mr. Newton said because it is an item that deals with the zoning
ordinance, the Commissioners cannot make any changes unless it has been reviewed by the
Planning and Zoning Commission. He said the board have two ways forwarding this
recommendation.. They can do it officially in which the Commissioners have the option to
change it if they want, or the board can do it unofficially through a memorandum from him in
which if they suggest any changes-they would have to come up with specific language and send
it back to this board for review.

The board decided to let Jerry send a memorandum.

Director's Report

Mr. Newton said on January 11, 1994, between 4 and 11 p.m., at Wolf Meadow Elementary
School there will be a work shop on the southern portion of the Westside Bypass.

Mr. Newton referred the next item to Mr. Amos.

Mr. Amos said his 3 year term is going to be expiring in January, 1994, and he has opt not to
seek reappointment. He said he would like to propose if the board is in agreement that they
make a recommendation to the Commissioners that Kathy Stafford be appointed as a regular
member in the position he is vacating which is an at-large position.

The Chair and the board concurred with Mr. Amos.

The Chair suggested that the board make a recommendation to the Commissioners that Katherine
Stafford be appointed to fill the vacant position of Bob Amos when his term ~expires.
The board agreed.
