Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Paqe 2 <br /> <br />Necessary improvements have not been completed so the <br />staff recommends approval contingent upon a valid <br />financial guarantee being posted. <br /> <br />There being no further comments, Mr. Olio-Mills MOTIONED, <br />seconded by Mr. Moose to approve Dove Field - Maps 1 & 2 <br />subdivision plat final as conditioned by staff. The vote <br />was unanimous. <br /> <br />Chairperson Randall stated to the citizens that the Commission is <br />now engaging in another Planning Board functions with a zoning <br />atlas amendment. Chairperson Randall stated the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission is an advisory commission and they only make <br />recommendations to the County Commissioners on rezonings. The <br />County Commissioners will discuss all issues on February 17, 1992, <br />at 7:00 p.m. and they will make ail final decisions on rezonings. <br /> <br />Chairperson Randall introduced the second item on the Agenda, <br />Zoning Atlas Amendment, Petition 92-01. <br /> <br />2. Applicant: Allen Wallace, Petitioner for Mary Wallace <br /> Request: Rezoninq of Property from ARR.to I-2 -- <br /> <br />This was a request to the Cabarrus County Planning and <br />Zo'ning Commission from Allen Wallace, Petitioner for Mary <br />Wallace to. have their property off Wallace Road rezoned <br />from ARR to I-2,.so that these two acres may be added to <br />a larger 1-2 tract and improve its utility. <br /> <br />Jonathan Marshall, Staff Member, presented the Staff <br />Analysis to the Commission on behalf of this petition. <br /> <br />Chairperson Randall opened the public hearing on Petition 92-01 <br />asking if anyone would like to speak for or against this petition. <br /> <br />Mr. Allen Wallace addressed the Commission stating he is <br />representing his mother, Mary Wallace on behalf of this <br />petition. Mr. Wallace stated the McGee Brothers Company <br />has purchased a tract of land on the east side of his <br />mothers property which was the R.L. Wallace property. He <br />also stated that his mother is willing to sell the 2 <br />acres on the back to straighten up her property line and <br />also get some depth between that property line and the <br />railroad. <br /> <br />Mr. Bill McGee, McGee Brothers Company, addressed the <br />Commission stating that they are using the property <br />adjoining that tract of land now to open a concrete <br />mixing plant, but they do not have a very specific use <br />for the remainder at this time.
