MINUTES -3- October 10, 1995 <br />Letter was mailed to Harris Dairy on August 18, 1995 to <br />remind Harris Dairy of Board's deadline of Aug. 20 20, <br />1995 to reseed alfalfa (NCACSP 13-92 . Follow call <br />to joe Harris was made on October 10, 1995. joe said alfalfa <br />was reseeded mid and stand looked good. <br />5.2 Applications -- The following applications were presented: <br />Terry Christenhury; HUAP <br />MOTION: THAT THE APPLICATION TERRY CHRISTENBURY FOR HEAVY USE ARE <br />PROTECTION BE APPROVED. M! HARKS Y, S) FOIL, C. <br />William Smith; CC-Trees <br />MOTION: THAT THE APPLICATION FOR WILLIAM SMITH FOR CROPLAND CONVERSION <br />TO TREES BE APPROVED. M) HAR KEY, S) FOIL, C. <br />Landon Mullis; Conservation - There was some <br />discussion about the incentive standards for conservation <br />tillage. Richard also read a letter from the jim Cummings in <br />1993 relative to cost share funds and how they are to be <br />expended, This letter stating that: "Approving conservation <br />tillage payments to an applicant who .... has been using the <br />practice is not proper use of NCACSP funds.'' <br />MOTION: THAT THE APPLICATIONS FOR LANDON MULLIS, CONSERVATION TILLAGE, <br />BE DENIED AND THAT A LETTER BE SENT TO R. MULLIS EXPLAINING WHY THE <br />APPLICATION WAS DENIED. It was stated <br />that Tommy Porter's waste utilization plan should be reviewed. Matt <br />said that Tommy is working on revising plan and that he needs 8 <br />additional acres to land apply swine waste. <br />6. WATERSHED IMPROVEMENT COMMISSION - NO REPORT <br />7.
