A <br />cost shared practice <br />must be <br />implemented within one year of the contract date. <br />4. Education and Technology Transfer - Dennis Testerman <br />4.1 The public speaking contest was rescheduled to Thursday, December 18 at 7 PM. <br />4.2 The total figures for the annual Big Sweep waterway cleanup include 65 volunteers <br />participating, 3 miles of Cabarrus County streams clean, and 85 bags of garbage <br />collected. <br />4.3 The Goldmine FFA land judging contest was won by the team from South Rowan <br />High School. <br />5. NC Agriculture Cost Share Program - Richard Taylor - Eric Smith has withdrawn his ACSP <br />application. Richard also reported that 0200 certifications are going well. <br />6. Watershed Improvement Commission Report <br />6.1 The interviews are completed for the new county engineer. The person filling this <br />position will be primarily responsible for overseeing a countywide erosion and <br />sedimentation control program. The N. C. Sedimentation Control Commission has <br />approved Cabarrus County's program, which is scheduled to being on January 1, <br />1998. The conservation district will review all erosion control plans submitted to <br />the county. <br />
