There was a general discussion among the Board and staff <br />regarding the natural gas pipeline and a possible easement. <br />Tommy Porter stated there has been one request for a public <br />hearing through a voluntary agriculture district participant. <br />Mr. Testerman said the wetlands and endangered species have been <br />looked at and the Corp of Engineers will have to become involved. He <br />also found out today that the Wildlife Resources Commission is not <br />going to require anything special except keeping sediment out of <br />streams. <br />After further discussion, upon motion of Louis Suther, seconded <br />by Tommy Porter and unanimously carried, the Board voted to send a <br />letter to the Commission opposing the pipeline based on environmental <br />and soil concerns. <br />(4-B) Atando Road Park <br />Nothing to report. <br />(4 -C) Conservation Field School at Clarke Creek <br />Dennis Testerman stated the surveyor the District hired, <br />Harrisburg Surveying, submitted a bid of $6,000.00 to survey the <br />Clarke Creek property and the proposed easement at Cox Mill <br />Elementary. Mr. Testerman presented a copy of the final survey map to <br />the Board. He said the District is researching a floating platform <br />for Clarke Creek. There was a general discussion regarding insurance <br />coverage on the platform, the design and cost. <br />Mr. Testerman also stated th <br />Commissioners for an easement on the <br />Mill Elementary. He presented a copy <br />the proposed easement. He has some <br />this location. There are no buffers <br />was a general discussion among the <br />wetlands and buffers. <br />e District asked the Board of <br />100 -year flood plain behind Cox <br />of a map showing the school and <br />concerns with water quality at <br />at the edge of the creek.
