(5 -C) EQIP Local Working Group Priorities for FY2012 <br />EQIP Local Working Group (Cabarrus- Gaston - Mecklenburg -Rowan <br />SWCDs) priorities previously adopted for PY2011 were officially <br />approved for use in FY2012. <br />(5 -D) Staff Reports <br />(6) Unfinished Business <br />(6 -A) FY2012 Budget <br />Dennis Testerman stated that the budget was approved for FY2012. <br />The $3,960.00 was restored into the District Activities account. The <br />new Budget and Performance Manager, Erica Nesbitt, came over to the <br />office to meet with staff, Jeff and Ned. There was a general <br />discussion among the board regarding the budget process. Ms. Nesbit <br />was supportive of a more proactive role by board and staff in the <br />budget presentation process. <br />(6 -B) Capital Improvement Projects <br />Dennis Testerman stated he wanted to keep these projects in front <br />of the board for future discussion. Farmland preservation projects <br />funded by local and state dollars can be matched dollar for dollar by <br />federal funds. <br />(6 -C) SWCD /County Management Quarterly Meeting Agenda <br />There was discussion regarding the upcoming quarterly meeting on <br />July 20. <br />(7) New Business <br />(7 -A) Staff Job Approval Authority Revisions <br />UPON MOTION of Johnathon Johnson, seconded by Louis Suther and <br />unanimously carried, the board approved updated Job Approval Authority <br />forms for Daniel McClellan and Dennis Testerman. <br />(7 -B) Extension of CMES /MPHS CCAP Contract Agreements <br />UPON MOTION of Johnathon Johnson, seconded by Ned Hudson and <br />unanimously carried, the board approved the extensions of the Cox Mill <br />Elementary School and Mt Pleasant High School CCAP Contract agreements <br />until December 30, 2010. <br />(7 -C) Agribusiness & Environmental Science Conservation School Days <br />There was a discussion among the board and staff regarding how <br />the district has been and is currently involved in the Agribusiness <br />and Environmental Science Conservation School Days. The board decided <br />that staff should respond to the e -mail request from Cooperative <br />
