350 <br /> <br /> Section 6. Area Director <br /> The Area Board shall appoint an Area Director to serve at its <br />pleasure. The Area Director shall be responsible for the staff <br />appointments, for implementation of the policies and programs of the <br />board in compliance with rules of the Mental Health Commission and <br />the Secretary of Human Resources, and for supervision of all service <br />programs and staff, as provided by G.S. 122C-121. <br /> <br /> Section 7. Budget and Audit Requirements <br /> Piedmont Area Authority shall maintain its budget in <br />accordance with Article 3 of Subchapter III of Chapter 159 of the <br />General Statutes, the Local Government Budget and Fiscal Control <br />Act, as required by G.S. 122C-144.1 ( c ) A copy of this audit shall <br />be given to the Board of County Commissioners of each constituent <br />county of the Area Authority. <br /> <br /> Section 8. Amendment. <br /> This Joint Resolution may be amended by a resolution jointly <br />approved by the Boards of Commissioners of Gabarrus, Rowan, Stanly <br />and Union Counties. <br /> <br /> Section 9. Further, the Board appointed Ms. Sandra Hall (Department of <br />Social Services Employee) to the Transportation Advisory Board as recommended by <br />the Board of Social Services. Both appointments were for terms of three years <br />ending June 30, 2000. <br /> <br /> <br />
