May 17, 2004 Page 445 UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carruth and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following budget amendment: BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AMOUNT: $3,204.00 TYPE OF D/)JUSTMENT: Supplemental Request PURPOSE OF REQUEST: Effective April 25, 2003, the County terminated our business relationship with Tax Reduction Specialist; therefore, any business that had started needed to cease by May 25, 2003. Any in-process work that was completed during this time period would be settled once proper confirmation was received from the N. C. Dept. of Revenue and Tax Reduction Specialist. These audits were completed for Mecklenburg County and Moravian Home in February 2004. Payment for services rendered was not budgeted in the original FY 2004 budget; therefore, sales tax and purchased services will need to be amended. We financed the bond closing costs in the refunding issue. The funds will be used for payment of attorney fees, rating agency fees and a payment to the NC State Treasurer. Proceeds from the sale of the F350 will be sufficient to purchase a new vehicle better suited to fulfill the needs of the agency. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carruth and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following resolution authorizing the County Purchasing Agent to convey the Ford F350 truck to the Cabarrus County Rescue Squad for compensation of $22,000.00, approved the following budget amendment and authorized the purchase of a new truck to replace the F350. Resolution No. 2004-16 STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA ) ) CABARRUS COUNTY ) RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Cabarrus County has one (1) 2001 Ford F-350 Truck, vehicle identification number 1FDSW35F71EA81116; and WHEREAS, this Board desires to dispose of the above referenced equipment; and, WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statute 160A, Article 12 sets forth procedures and requirements for counties selling and disposing of property.
