May 17, 2004 Page 446 <br /> <br />Procedures include private negotiation and sale, sale by sealed bids, <br />auction, upset bids and exchanges; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statute 160A-279 provides that any <br />governmental unit may convey personal property to any other entity carrying <br />out a public purpose, with or without compensation. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus <br />County as follows: <br /> <br /> That in accordance with the provisions of General Statute 160A-267, <br />this Board authorizes the County Purchasing Agent to dispose of the above <br />referenced personal property no earlier than ten (10) days after a notice <br />summarizing the contents of the resolution is published once. Also, pursuant <br />to General Statute 160A-279, the aforementioned personal property may be <br />conveyed to the Cabarrus Rescue Squad upon receipt of compensation in the <br />amount of $22,000. <br /> <br />Adopted this 17th day of May 2004. <br /> <br /> /s/ Robert M.
