May 17, 2004 Page 446 Procedures include private negotiation and sale, sale by sealed bids, auction, upset bids and exchanges; and, WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statute 160A-279 provides that any governmental unit may convey personal property to any other entity carrying out a public purpose, with or without compensation. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus County as follows: That in accordance with the provisions of General Statute 160A-267, this Board authorizes the County Purchasing Agent to dispose of the above referenced personal property no earlier than ten (10) days after a notice summarizing the contents of the resolution is published once. Also, pursuant to General Statute 160A-279, the aforementioned personal property may be conveyed to the Cabarrus Rescue Squad upon receipt of compensation in the amount of $22,000.
