The lease requires a long- <br />term commitment from the County for rent of $1.00 per year and significant <br />maintenance and upkeep commitments. The initial term is for a period of 20 <br />years (July 1, 2004 through July 1, 2024) with the potential for two renewal <br />terms of five years each. The proposed Lease Agreement was negotiated by the <br />County Attorney and Tim Foley, Vice President of RCCC. <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Commissioner Privette <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the Lease Agreement as presented <br />between Cabarrus County and Rowan-Cabarrus Community College for <br />
