March 24, 2008 (Regular Meeting) Page 758 <br />(F-15) Library Department - Budget Amendment - (Ap propriation of Additional <br />Grant Funde - $7,282.00) <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Vice Chairman Juba <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following budget amendment: <br />BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST <br />DEPARTMENT OE LIBRARY - KANNAPOLIS <br />AMOUNT: $7,282.00 <br />TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT: Supplemental Request <br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST: The purpose o£ this request is to amend the Concord <br />Library Budget to include a mid-year non-recurring increase in State Aid to <br />Public Libraries Grant. Extra funds will be used to cover costs of <br />unanticipated extra hours of work for temporary (seasonal) employees to <br />provide adequate staffing in the Children's Library and in the Genealogy and <br />Local History Libraries. Carlyle Rutledge. Mr. Rutledge requests that the <br />gift be used to purchase recorded books for the library collection. These <br />materials will be circulated to the public. Kannapolis Library Manager, <br />Terry Prather supports the use of these funds for this purpose.
