<br />Commissioner Oesterreich responded in the affirmative. He also revised
<br />the MOTION to fund services through October 22 with services terminated on
<br />October 23 14 . Vice Chairman Measmer seconded the revised motion.
<br />Chairman Poole expressed her intent to vote against the motion,
<br />recommending services be provided through the end of the month of October.
<br />The MOTION carried with Vice Chairman Measmer and Commissioners Burrage
<br />and Oesterreich voting for and Chairman Poole and Commissioner Morris voting
<br />against.
<br />Commissioner Morris expressed concern over the impact of the federal
<br />government shutdown on daycare facilities.
<br />A brief discussion ensued. During discussion, Ann Benfield, Cabarrus
<br />Partnership for Children Executive Director, responded to questions from the
<br />Board.
