With there being no one else to address the Board, Chairman Poole closed that portion of the meeting. (E) OLD BUSINESS (E -1) Human Services - NC FAST Update Ben Rose, Human Service Director and Trish Baker, Economic Services Program Administrator, presented an update on the processing of food stamp applications within the Economic Services Division as the conversion to the NC FAST system continues. Implementation of Medicaid to NC FAST was also addressed. A discussion ensued. During discussion, Mr. Rose and Ms. Baker responded to questions from the Board. Diane Gridley, Income Maintenance Program Manager, was also in attendance. No action was taken. (F) CONSENT AGENDA (F -1) Active Living and Parks - 2014 Fees and Charges Policy Each year the Active Living and Parks (ALP) Department reviews the Fees and Charges Policy, presents to the ALP's Commission and the Senior Centers Council, and recommends changes to the Board of Commissioners. UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Burrage, seconded by Commissioner Measmer and unanimously carried, the Board approved the Active Living and Parks 2014 Fees and Charges Policy. The Fees and Charges Policy, as adopted by the Board, is on file in the County Manager's Office and is hereby included by reference as part of the minutes. (F -2) BOC - Commissioner Appointments for 2014 The following chart outlines Commissioner appointments to various boards and committees and appointments as liaisons to the surrounding municipalities for 2014. UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Burrage, seconded by Commissioner Measmer and unanimously carried, the Board approved the Commissioner appointments for 2014 as set forth in the Agenda. By the same vote, the Board reappointed Jonathan Marshall to the TCC and appointed Susie Morris as an alternate to the TCC for one -year terms ending December 31, 2014.
