(4 -B) Ned Hudson reviewed plans for a group from Cabarrus County <br />to travel together by county van to Ag. Awareness Day in Raleigh <br />on March 18. <br />(4 -C) 2015 Stewardship Week Proclamation Assignments and Plans <br />Plans for presenting proclamations for adoption by elected <br />bodies in the county and distribution of educational and worship <br />materials were discussed. <br />(4 -D) Spot Check Tour <br />Daniel McClellan reviewed the number active contracts to be <br />reviewed by funding program. The date for the tour is Monday, <br />March 30, the day before the District presents in FY2016 budget. <br />(5) Unfinished Business <br />(5 -A) FY 2016 Budget Presentation <br />Hannah Hursey reviewed a spreadsheet showing current requests by <br />line item, highlighting additions and increases to the budget <br />proposal adopted at the February 19 called meeting. These <br />changes include the addition of a new line item for signs and <br />increases in tools and minor equipment, dues and subscriptions <br />and district activities. The budget presentation to the county <br />has been rescheduled to March 31, 2015. <br />UPON MOTION of, Louis Suther seconded by Ned Hudson and <br />unanimously carried, the board approved the revised FY2016 <br />budget proposal. <br />(5 -B) Conservation Farm Family of the Year <br />Dennis Testerman reviewed the nomination for Carl and Pam Walker <br />as the 2015 Outstanding Conservation Farm Family for Cabarrus <br />County. <br />UPON MOTION of, Louis Suther seconded by Ned Hudson and <br />unanimously carried, the board nominated Carl and Pam Walker and <br />family as the 2015 Outstanding Conservation Farm Family. <br />(5 -C) Trust Fund Supporting Local Food Econom <br />Vicky Porter provided an update on the recommendations to the <br />county commissioners concerning the county Trust Fund Supporting <br />Local Food Economy. There was a lengthy discussion about the <br />
