recommendations as well as the process for arriving at the <br />recommendations. <br />UPON MOTION of, Louis Suther seconded by Ned Hudson and <br />unanimously carried, the board approved the recommendations to <br />the county commissioners concerning the Trust Fund Supporting <br />Local Food Economy. <br />(6) New Business <br />(6 -A) Cooperators Agreement—John Haggert <br />UPON MOTION of, Ned Hudson seconded by Louis Suther and <br />unanimously carried, the board approved the cooperators <br />agreement with John Haggerty. <br />(6 -B) Greater Uwharrie Conservation Partnership MOU <br />Dennis Testerman reviewed a Memorandum of Understanding with the <br />Greater Uwharrie Conservation Partnership, a collaboration <br />between thirteen agencies and organizations. The county attorney <br />is reviewing this document and any action by the board should be <br />contingent on approval by the attorney. <br />UPON MOTION of, Louis Suther seconded by Ned Hudson and <br />unanimously carried, the board approved the memorandum subject <br />to approval by the attorney. <br />(6 -C) Contribution to Dig It! The Secrets of Soil Exhibit at <br />NC Museum of Natural Sciences <br />Hannah Hursey gave an overview of plans for the state Museum for <br />of Natural Sciences in Raleigh to host the soil exhibition <br />previously hosted by the Smithsonian Institute. This exhibit <br />will run from May 16 to August 16. Each district in the state <br />received a letter from State President Manly West suggesting a <br />$100 contribution to defray expenses associated with this <br />exhibit. <br />UPON MOTION of, Ned Hudson seconded by Louis Suther and <br />unanimously carried, the board approved making a $100 <br />contribution to the "Dig It: The Secrets of Soil" exhibit at the <br />state Museum of Natural Sciences later this year. <br />
