Pleasant, NC 28214 (► <br /> (704) 436-9513 <br /> DEPT. ` <br /> November Meeting Minutes 11.14.16 <br /> Meeting called to order at 6:00pm (at the request of Tracey Brown to move the meeting <br /> earlier since we are meeting so frequently). All board members were present including: <br /> Patrick Bergeron, Mike Coley, Tony Raines, Phil Bryant, Bill Barnhardt,Joe Vaughan, and <br /> Tiffany Ruffin. Chief Kevin Kirk and Tracey Brown were both present as well. <br /> Tiffany brought Mexican Wedding cookies for the board members to enjoy. <br /> We began by discussing move the Christmas Party date/time and concluded to move <br /> the party to start at 6pm due to Ruffin's Roost being on the House Tour, several folks <br /> attending the Panther's Football game that day and Tony Raines having a schedule <br /> conflict. We will move the Board meeting to the 5t" of December and only the Party on <br /> the 11tH <br /> The documents regarding Potter& Company were distributed and the board voted to <br /> proceed with the proposed financials and 990 form. <br /> Patrick shared that the hydrants were supposed to cost 68344.54 and the County paid a <br /> little more than expected at 22,397.23. With the matching DOI funds, the total cost to <br /> the department was 15,947.31. <br /> The meeting minutes from 11.1.16 was distributed. Patrick asked if there were any <br /> questions, none were posed. Joe Vaughan motioned to accept the minutes and Phil 2,d <br /> the motion. All members voted to accept the minutes as presented. <br /> Patrick said the BBQ cook-off over the weekend raised 545 for the Department. 250 Ibs <br /> of BBQ were sold between 10am and 2:30pm. Dylan, his wife, Patrick, Clayton, Hunter, <br /> Cindy and Matthew showed up to help. <br /> The conversation circled back to the purchase of the apparatus. The question was asked <br /> about the warranty—and Chief Kirk replied it is a 10 year warranty. <br /> Tony said after all of the work and research he has done, he is now leaning towards a <br /> single axle truck. Phil talked about single axle being more efficient to fill with water and <br /> although we cannot forsee the future he feels the single axle truck is the right vehicle <br /> for the department. There are items that really haven't been discussed like the Jake <br /> Brake that is a built in safety feature. <br /> G-4 Page 89 <br />
