<br /> and unanimously carried, the Board accepted the Tax Collector's annual
<br /> settlement and approved the Order to Collect in accordance with N.C.G.S. 105-
<br /> 321.

<br /> You are hereby authorized, empowered and commanded to collect the 2017 property
<br /> taxes filed in the office of the Cabarrus County Assessor, and in the tax
<br /> receipts herewith delivered to you, in the amounts and from the taxpayers
<br /> likewise set forth. Such taxes are hereby declared to be a first lien upon all
<br /> real property of the respective taxpayers in the County of Cabarrus, and this
<br /> order shall be a full and sufficient authority to direct, require and enable
<br /> you to levy on and sell any real or personal property of such taxpayer, for and

<br /> (G-1) Economic Development Investment - Project Hercules - Public Hearing 6:30

<br /> Robert Carney Jr. , Economic Development Corporation (EDC) Executive
<br /> Director presented a request for an economic development investment for Project
<br /> Hercules (TPA Group, developer) pursuant to North Carolina General Statute
<br /> 158.7.1. He advised TPA Group proposes to construct a $1 million square foot
<br /> industrial spec building at 6501 Macedonia Church Road in Kannapolis with a
<br /> projected taxable investment in Cabarrus County of approximately $50 million in
<br /> real property. The request includes reimbursement for infrastructure
<br /> improvements for an amount up to $1,487, 500.00, (equivalent to a 5-year grant
<br /> at 85 percent of the ad valorem taxes on the increase in real and personal
<br /> property tax values) . In addition, Mr. Carney reported that the TPA Group has
<br /> a preferred tenant interested in the site that estimates creating 600 full-time
<br /> jobs. A public hearing is required.
