CAR • 2016 <br />i �'y�J,rJJl� ll <br />1 <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />DHS - In -Home Aide Services Policy Approval <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Department of Human Services (DHS) In -Home Program is licensed <br />as a Home Care Agency through the NC Division of Health Services <br />Regulation until December 31, 2015. Due to divestiture of the CAP <br />(Community Alternatives Program) program, and due to In -Home Aide <br />services for Home and Community Care Block Grant (HCCBG) being <br />provided under other contractural agreements, our licensure with the <br />state is no longer required. <br />DHS currently provides home management tasks solely to clients who <br />require certification through the NC Division of Aging and Adult Services <br />(DAAS). The DHS In -Home Aide Program was monitored by DAAS on <br />December 3 -4, 2015, at which time the In -Home Aide Policy was reviewed <br />and found to be in compliance, except for approval by the Board of <br />Commissioners.
