CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF • • <br />* <br />REGULAR <br />¢ TN eA BO <br />O 1 <br />� / <br />1 P .M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />KCS - North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) Facility <br />Needs Survey <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Every five years, local boards of education are required by G. S. 115C -521 <br />(a) to submit their Facility Needs Assessment (long -range plans) to the <br />State Board of Education. Attached is the Kannapolis City Schools (KCS) <br />Plan. <br />The Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners are required to <br />acknowledge in writing that they have received and reviewed a copy of <br />this survey prior to submission to the State Board of Education. This <br />acknowledgement does not necessarily constitute endorsement of or <br />commitment to fund the Facility Needs Survey. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to acknowledge receipt of the KCS Facility Needs Survey and <br />authorize the Chairman and County Manager to certify the receipt. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Will Crabtree, Kannapolis City Schools <br />BUDGET AMENDMENT REQUIRED: <br />No <br />F -3 Page 49 <br />
