Served on ad hoc committee convened by NC DEA president <br />to review PCEP training plan for technical employee and make revision recommendations. <br />Describe special skills the nominee possesses beyond normal job requirements, which enhance performance: <br />Our SWCD is considered by many to be a leader in land protection through conservation easements, an <br />accomDlishment that would not be Dossible without a team effort. The nominee brinas considerable skills <br />District land protection efforts, not only through long -term contracts but through permanent conservation <br />easements as well. Nominee's GIS skills are particularly useful when submitting grant applications and <br />establishing conservation easements. Mechanical aptitude is very useful, especially in maintaining SWCD's <br />no -till seed drill. Personal experience with poultry farming has brought credibility to our SWCD. <br />List professional improvements made by the nominee such as formal education courses, professional <br />organizations and offices held, workshops, etc.: <br />The nominee began work with the district nearly 15 years ago after completing an internship with the District <br />before graduation from college. In <br />addition to lob approval authority to independently carry out most AgWRAP, ASCP and CCAP responsibilities, <br />the nominee holds a pesticide license and is a certified technical specialist for writing nutrient management <br />plans.
