k.atm St <br />Lomax Center for Agricultural Education <br />Development Plan 2016 - 2026 <br />Retreat Event Center <br />The Lomax Center for Agricultural Education hopes to offer working space for <br />organizations and institutions in need of a place to retreat for planning, training, <br />leadership advancement, or other development - related efforts. Lomax could provide <br />this space within he setting of a working farm, offering participating groups the <br />opportunity to learn more about the efforts of agricultural advancement in Cabarrus <br />County as a part of their time at the Lomax Center. <br />Offering the Lomax Center facilities for meetings, retreats and small gatherings will help <br />to better utilize site improvements and a small fee for use will help to offset the costs <br />associated with operating the farm for its many other uses. <br />• More use of expanded infrastructure <br />• Expanded exposure to the <br />programs at Lomax Center <br />• Recruitment for future <br />participation <br />• Revenue opportunity <br />20 <br />G -6 Page 192 <br />
