CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF • • <br />* <br />REGULAR <br />¢ TN eAR° �jr MAY 16 20 <br />� / <br />1 P .M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />CCS - Early College Additional Funding Request <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />In September 2015, Cabarrus County Schools (CCS) requested funding <br />for a second Early College site with Rowan - Cabarrus Community College <br />in the amount of $574,960. A detail of the funding request is attached. <br />Additional funding is requested in the amount of $153,000 (grading <br />$61,000, plumbing $12,000, and furniture $90,000) in order to complete <br />the project. A budget revision has been attached to facilitate funding the <br />request as well as an updated project ordinance. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to adopt budget revision and updated project ordinance. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Kelly Kluttz, Chief Finance Officer, CCS <br />BUDGET AMENDMENT REQUIRED: <br />Yes <br />COUNTY MANAGER'S RECOMMENDATIONS /COMMENTS: <br />This item was approved by the Board for inclusion on the Agenda as a <br />Consent item. <br />F -1 Page 49 <br />
