If a requested trip cannot be
accommodated within our capacity, the Department may deny the trip at that time.
• The Department will continue to provide coordinated transportation for the Cabarrus Vocational
Opportunities through EDTAP and RGP funding as these trips are shared and do not effect
efficiency.
• The Department will continue to provide services to meal sites with the Home and Care
Community Block Grant(HCCBG)funds as these trips are shared and do not effect efficiency.
• All other HCCBG trips will have a daily allowance and be restricted to medical trips as well to
allow the department to provide critical services while maintaining costs within the allocated
grant.
• The Department will continue to provide all required Medicaid trips as mandated under policy.
The goal is to provide as many of these trips as possible within the capacity of the Department
with the understanding that the use of contracted services will be a last resort.
• The Department seeks to implement these changes as soon as possible, with the understanding to
properly notify impacted clients before implementation.
Attachment number 2\n
G-2 Page 157
