These standards also would no longer apply <br />to expansions of existing development, only to new development. <br />o Chapter 6, General Requirements, Exceptions and Modifications. This chapter is <br />being amended to remove the sidewalk requirement for commercial development <br />since it is also being removed from Appendix B and to clarify the site preservation <br />triangle requirement and how it is established. <br />o Chapter 7, Performance Based Standards. Included in this chapter are minor edits <br />related to administrative clarifications of the ordinance as well as changes related to <br />the passing of SL2015 -86. References to architectural standards and the amenity <br />subdivision type have been removed. Development standards have been <br />incorporated for multifamily and townhome development to replace references to the <br />amenity subdivision option that is being removed from Chapter 5. <br />o Chapter 14, Nonconformities. Changes to this chapter include clarifications of chapter <br />cross referenced standards and additional language to address parcels with multiple <br />existing primary structures that pre -date the adoption of the zoning ordinance. <br />• Deletions are in strikethrough text. Additions and corrections are in red text. <br />• The proposed changes were reviewed by the County Attorney and the Text Amendment <br />Committee. <br />• On July 14, 2015, the Planning and Zoning Commission considered the proposed <br />amendments and voted to forward the changes to the Board of Commissioners for <br />consideration.
