For all other non - English speaking individuals Cabarrus County Human Services utilizes <br />contract interpreters who to come to the designated location or telephonic interpreting <br />services. <br />B. Provision of Bilingual /Interpretive Services <br />1. The ugency ensures that effective hilinguallinterpretive services are provided <br />to serve the needs of the non - English speaking population. The provision of <br />bit inguallinterpretive services is prompt without undue delays. In most <br />circumstances, this requires language services to be available during all <br />operating hours. <br />This requirement is met by: <br />• Three full time Foreign Language Interpreter II (county positions) for <br />Spanish. <br />• Child Welfare and Child Support utilizes contract Spanish Interpreters if <br />our staff Interpreters are otherwise engaged. Alt staff utilize contract <br />Interpreter services for other non- Spanish LEP individuals. <br />• Fluent Language Line is utilized for languages other than Spanish and is also <br />utilized for Spanish if a Spanish Interpreter is not available (such as <br />nightslweekends and court). <br />• Currently have several bl- lingual staff (Spanish).
