Describe activities that your agency has undertaken or plans to undertake to establish a pool of <br />unrestricted funds to further the agency's mission and reduce dependency on government funding. <br />a. Funds to support services for low- income persons <br />In the past, SRCAA, Inc. has used local faith -based organizations and private sources in Rowan to <br />donate services and finances throughout the year to help our agency serve the low- income <br />community when CSBG funds are not available. SRCAA seeks additional, appropriate grants to <br />meet the needs of our population beyond CSBG funding. SRCAA is in conversation with the <br />Community Relations Departments of area banks to begin increasing our unrestricted funds from <br />corporations and foundations. <br />b. Funds to support the overall agency <br />The SRCAA, Inc. Board of Directors lead by its Fundraising Committee will continue with its current <br />fund development strategy. <br />1. Identify and develop a fundraising goal for 2016 -2017 (ongoing) <br />2. Develop and expand the current donor base (ongoing) <br />3. Seek small community development awards from corporations (one received) <br />4. Become an option for United Way donations (ongoing) <br />5. Seek United Way funding (one grant received) <br />6. Continue improving our technology and ability to reach more people for fundraising through <br />social media (technology and internal communications has improved over the past two years) <br />The agency has identified the following as opportunities to expand technology and fundraising: <br />• Sales force, which is a web -based program for non - profits that assist in managing and tracking <br />donors, grants, donations, and recurring gifts. <br />• Actively use Facebook, Twitter or other social media <br />• The SRCAA Website continues to be upgraded <br />• The goal is to allow for direct donations and to demonstrate the agency's performance through our <br />website. <br />12. Describe your agency's method for informing custodial parents in single - parent families that <br />participate in CSBG programming about the availability of child support services.
