Coborrus County Transportation Services (CCTS) Final Report - September 2015 <br />• Initiative #2.1 - Volunteer driver programs will be directed to Centralina Council of <br />Governments and Volunteer Transportation Services (VTS). <br />Remaining initiatives that were not supported - Other than those initiatives already <br />mentioned as not supported, there were two more of the 22 initiatives that were not <br />proposed for implementation - <br />• Initiative #3.6 - Rural Vanpools: these requests will be directed to CATS when <br />appropriate <br />• Initiative #2.3 - Curb -to -curb service will not replace door -to -door service, by reason <br />of potentially slowing down service and creating more no -shows amongst those who <br />have become reliant on the door -to -door service. <br />The outputs of the repackaged initiatives and pilot programs are detailed in the funding <br />and scheduling tables (Table ES -2 and Table ES -3) that follow the conclusion. <br />ES -4 CONCLUSION TO CCTS COMMUNITY TRANSIT FIVEYEAR PLAN <br />The Cabarrus County Board of County Commissioners is responsible for budget approval, <br />human resources, and overall policy direction of CCTS; the Commissioners are the <br />architects of the mission statement. Historically the County has always come through <br />generously to keep the buses rolling each year. The Board will be asked to approve the <br />study recommendations and ultimately decide which of the CTSP initiatives are supported. <br />Attachment number 1 \n <br />F -3 Page 75 <br />
