Coborrus County Transportation Services Finol Report — September 2015 <br />Trip Purpose <br />The pattern of existing trip purpose is driven by the fact that the primary client for CCTS <br />services is Cabarrus County DHS. Medical trips comprise 84% of all trips (when Dialysis is <br />included). "trip purpose" <br />Fleet Overview <br />CCTS has a fleet of 27 revenue vehicles, all equipped with lifts, available to provide transit <br />service. Additional information about the vehicle inventory and vehicle utilization is <br />provided in Section 4.1. <br />2.2 SERVICE AREA OVERVIEW <br />Figure 2 shows a map of Cabarrus County, including the incorporated areas within the <br />county and the boundaries of the Concord urbanized area based on the 2010 Census. CCTS <br />provides rural transportation services to the portions of Cabarrus County located outside <br />the urbanized area (i.e., the white areas on Figure 2). Within the urbanized area, CCTS <br />provides ADA paratransit services within 3 / mile of CK Rider fixed routes. <br />Cabarrus County is located in the southern Piedmont region of North Carolina and includes <br />the northern portion of the Charlotte metropolitan area. The county's total land area is <br />362 square miles, which ranks 72nd out of the state's 100 counties.
