WHEREAS, Mecklenburg County and other users of the Regional Radio System desire to <br />enter into an " Interlocal Agreement for Regional Radio System Advisory Council "; <br />WHEREAS, Mecklenburg County desires to authorize a representative to act on its behalf <br />on matters before the Regional Radio Advisory Council; <br />WHEREAS, Article 20 of Chapter 160A of the North Carolina General Statutes <br />authorizeslocal governments to inter into Interlocal agreements to establish a Regional Radio <br />Advisory Council; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mecklenburg County Board of <br />Commissioners that <br />1) the County Manager is hereby authorized to execute the Interlocal Agreement for <br />Regional Radio System Advisory Council in substantially the form presented to the Board; <br />2) the County Manager is authorized to designate the Charlotte Fire Chief and <br />Mecklenburg Sheriff as "Primary Representative" and an "Alternate Representative" <br />respectively for Mecklenburg County under the terms of the Interlocal Agreement, and to <br />authorize the persons serving as Representatives to represent Mecklenburg County with respect <br />to all matters within the Regional Radio Advisory Council's authority under the Interlocal <br />Agreement for Regional Radio System Advisory Council; and <br />3) the County Manager is authorized to appoint another person to serve as Representative <br />under the Regional Radio Interlocal in the event that either of the above named persons leave are <br />no longer willing or able to serve for any reason. <br />This the 19 day of November, 2013. <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM <br />Attachment number 5 <br />F -5 Page 101 <br />
