CONCEPT OF OPERATIONS <br />Cabarrus County Schools <br />a. Provide Liaison Officer(s) to the EOC for the duration of the emergency, as requested. <br />b. Maintain notification, warning, and school evacuation procedures for emergency situations. <br />c. Identify protected areas in each school to be used as safety rooms if time does not permit <br />evacuation of school population. <br />d. Be prepared to provide school facilities to be used as shelters or other emergency operations <br />facilities (staging areas, points of distribution, points of dispensing, Disaster Assistance <br />Center, etc.). <br />e. Provide resources from the County school system to support emergency response and <br />recovery operations. The school system will: <br />• Provide support personnel (school custodians, cafeteria staff, counselors, bus drivers, <br />administrators) to assist, as available. <br />• Provide buses and drivers to support transportation operations. <br />• Provide fuel support for vehicles used in emergency operations, as necessary and <br />requested. <br />o Fuel station locations: <br />■ Education Center <br />■ Auxiliary Services (bus garage) <br />Cabarrus Water and Sewer Authority <br />a. The Water and Sewer Authority of Cabarrus County ( WSACC) is an independent, <br />incorporated public body supporting five jurisdictions (Cabarrus County, Cities of Concord <br />and Kannapolis, Towns of Harrisburg, and Mount Pleasant). <br />b. WSACC is the primary planning agent for water and sewer facilities, provides wholesale <br />wastewater transportation and treatment for its organizing jurisdictions, and provides <br />reservoir management for some, or all, of its jurisdictions. <br />c. Additionally, WSACC plans for the provision of wholesale water and may, when tasked by <br />its organizing jurisdictions, provide retail water and sewer service. There are three <br />wastewater treatment plants in the County: Rocky River, Muddy Creek, and Mt.
