This phase describes opportunities for experienced individuals to share <br />with the public through focused learning sessions Tours of the facility will continue <br />with an effort to increase the number of Cabarrus County School and Kannapolis City <br />School students able to visit Lomax. Other opportunities will include lectures, <br />workshops, classes or other such activities aimed at all segments of the population. <br />SHOW ME. This phase describes hands -on learning opportunities in which <br />experienced individuals work with members of the public to show them how to perform <br />practical skills, set up systems for agricultural production or other similar tasks. Lomax <br />hopes to partner with the Master Gardeners of Cabarrus County, a program run through <br />Cooperative Extension, to make this phase of learn as robust as possible. <br />WATCH ME. This phase of the learning process includes experienced individuals <br />working with novices to increase levels of proficiency related to agricultural skills <br />through continuous practice. <br />CUT ME LOOSE. This final phase of the learning process involves the oversight of <br />participants in training as they attempt to use skills, replicate systems and further <br />develop their experienc under the guidance of experienced individuals. It also includes <br />preparing farmers for the transition from Lomax to other parcels of land as they move <br />more towards independent farming operations. <br />Attachment number 3 <br />G -2 Page 174 <br />
