Architecture <br />s <br />selwoul ufArc4flrrlure <br />Lomax Agricultural Learning Center <br />Program Development Plan <br />2 0 1 4 - 201 7 <br />The Primary Educational Institutions operating at Lomax and their work at <br />the Lomax is described below: <br />Cooperative Extension will offer focused learning opportunities to the general <br />public, including but not limited to lectures, workshops and other shorter session <br />teaching opportunities and when appropriate participate in relevant local, regional, <br />national and international forums on this topic. They will also provide technical <br />assistance to the Farm Manager, the Training Coordinator and the participants in the <br />Beginning Farmer Program. This will include regular meeting with Lomax staff and <br />Beginning Farmers. <br />Please See Addendum A <br />Rowan Cabarrus Community College will offer continuing education to students, <br />faculty, industry, and other appropriate organizations regarding sustainable agriculture <br />and when appropriate participate in relevant local, regional, national and international <br />forums on this topic. RCCC classes will serve specific instructional needs as identified <br />by RCCC and the Lomax Board of Directors regarding agricultural education. They will <br />also help to develop a core curriculum of classes to be used to give structure to the <br />Beginning Farmer program. <br />Please See Addendums C, D and attached MO <br />University of North Carolina Charlotte IDEAS will conduct research in support of <br />the sharing of scientific and technological findings and procedures relevant to <br />sustainable farming and the development of monitoring and assessment mechanisms <br />pertaining to sustainable agriculture.
