This instructional <br />platform will be based on annual production plans created by Beginning Farmers in <br />concert with a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. <br />The CSA program will offer paid membership to the community at large whereby <br />members will receive a certain amount of fresh produce on a set schedule for a given <br />period of time during the growing season for a specific financial contribution. This <br />scheduled delivery of an allotment of fresh produce will oblige the creation of <br />corresponding production plans by the Beginning Farmers and the Training <br />Coordinator will oversee the development of these plans. <br />The Training Coordinator will be responsible for the marketing of the Lomax CSA <br />program as well as coordination with the Farm Manager and the educational <br />institutions at Lomax to ensure the success of the CSA program. The Training <br />Coordinator is a full time position and will report to the Program Director. <br />Key Activities <br />• Develop, market and sell a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Program <br />with memberships purchased by the general public. <br />• Use the CSA's scheduled food deliveries to develop a multi -year production plan <br />for the Lomax common farm fields <br />• Use the CSA's scheduled food deliveries to develop production plans with <br />Beginning Farmers for their respective plots. <br />• Coordinate CSA related activates include member pick ups <br />Goals /Strategies <br />• Maintain financial resources and support needed to operate programs effectively <br />• CSA member retention, satisfaction and new member recruitment <br />• Develop evaluation metrics to track performance of the CSA program and <br />Beginning Farmer development <br />• Develop relationships with other area farmers for CSA product coordination <br />Attachment number 3 <br />G -2 Page 186 <br />
