CABARRUS COUNTY <br />1 4' BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />rR CARa 1� ►�� AUGUST 18 2 <br />1 P .M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Old Business <br />SUBJECT: <br />Infrastructure & Asset Management - Union Street South Upset Bid <br />Process Update <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Rinker Commercial Properties, representing Bright Parsun LLC, submitted <br />a request to purchase County -owned property at 86 Union Street South. <br />Cabarrus County followed the upset bid process, opening for upset bids <br />on July 23, 2014. Allowing for more than the minimum requirement of 10 <br />business days, the upset bid deadline closed on August 4, 2014 at 4:00 <br />p.m., by which time no upset bids were received, therefore completing the <br />upset bid process. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to award the Union Street South property to Rinker Commercial <br />Properties, representing Bright Parsun LLC, and to authorize the County <br />Manager and County Attorney to finalize the transaction and execute <br />related documentation. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />5 Minutes <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Jonathan B.
