17 92 <br />A PROCLAMATION <br />CHILD SUPPORT AWARENESS MONTH <br />WHEREAS, the welfare of our children is the most important responsibility we have as parents. <br />A child should be able to depend on support from both parents; and <br />WHEREAS, children who do not receive adequate financial and emotional support from both <br />parents may experience greater difficulty in becoming healthy, happy, and productive citizens <br />of this County. In such cases, the taxpayers of this County support the children whose parents <br />fail to meet this responsibility; and <br />WHEREAS, many concerned and dedicated judges, district attorneys, clerks of court, sheriff's <br />personnel and child support professionals work to provide this service to Cabarrus County's <br />children ... our future; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners does <br />hereby proclaim the month of September as Child Support Awareness Month in Cabarrus <br />County and urges all parents who are currently under court order to regularly pay their child <br />support. <br />Adopted this the 18 day of August, 2014. <br />Elizabeth F.
