SALISBURY -ROWAN COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY, INC. <br />DIRECTOR — YOUTH AND FAMILY SERVICES <br />JOB DESCRIPTION <br />Department; Youth and Family Services <br />Reports To: Executive Director <br />Status: Exempt <br />Summary <br />The Director of Youth and Family Services (YFS) is responsible for the agency's strategy around <br />youth, family engagement activities, This leadership position provides program management <br />for family services, career and education training services. The Director is responsible for <br />managing participant intake and assessing the needs of program participants and the <br />development and implementation of programs and services to improve their lives. The Director <br />is responsible for developing a long -term vision that connects with key departments to create a <br />consistent service delivery model. The YFS Director is responsible for managing budgets and <br />compliance with regulations for the Workforce Investment Act (WIA), Community Services <br />Block Grant (CSBG) program funding sources. The Director shall create department <br />performance goals and individual staff performance goals for annual performance reviews. <br />DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES: <br />A. Oversee all programs offered through the Community Services Block Grant, Workforce <br />Investment Act. <br />• Plan and organize the department programs to best meet the needs of families and <br />individuals receiving agency services. <br />• Develop, manage and implement the annual department budgets, including timely <br />submission of any budget revisions. <br />• Prepare and submit monthly and annual reports as required by the various program <br />requirements. <br />Responsible for meeting program goals and performance targets. <br />• Establish and implement an aggressive outreach and community engagement <br />program to increase the number of participants and awareness of the agency. <br />+ Make every effort to collaborate between programs, (YFS and Head Start) to ensure <br />that families and individuals are getting the full benefit of the agency's programs and <br />services. <br />April 14, 2014 <br />Attachment number 1 <br />F -13 Page 226 <br />
