Volunteer <br />drivers are individuals who drive their personal vehicles or transit vehicles in revenue <br />service to transport passengers for the transit system, but are not employees of the transit <br />system and are not compensated for their labor, but may be compensated for their <br />mileage. <br />78 <br />73C <br />Personal Vehicles Used <br />Enter the number of personal vehicles used in revenue service at the end of the reporting <br />791 <br />period. <br />74A <br />Miles (Incidental Services) <br />Meal delivery and mail delivery are two examples of Incidental Services. If the system <br />provides Incidental Services, enter the number of dedicated miles provided as part of this <br />80 <br />service. <br />74C <br />Hours (Incidental Services) <br />Meal delivery and mail delivery are two examples of Incidental Services. If the system <br />provides Incidental Services, enter the number of dedicated hours provided as part of this <br />81 <br />service. <br />75 -81 <br />Employee Information <br />Enter the number of full -time and part -time employees employed by the transit system in <br />each category at the end of the FY next to the words "How Many ". The funding source <br />does not matter. Add all the compensated hours together for any employees that worked <br />during the year and enter this number next to the words "Total Pay Hours ". The form will <br />automatically calculate the FTE. Do not include the administrative employees of any <br />82 <br />contractor. <br />82A <br />In- Service Breakdowns of Vehicles <br />Vehicle breakdowns can be an indication of maintenance and service reliability problems. <br />An in- service vehicle breakdown shall be counted when a maintenance vehicle is required <br />to tow or assist a revenue vehicle while the vehicle is in service. These breakdowns result <br />in service interruptions or service rescheduling. Taking a vehicle out -of- service for regular <br />83 <br />maintenance is not counted as a vehicle breakdown. <br />82C <br />Denials <br />If providing demand responsive service, a denial shall be counted when a trip is not <br />scheduled due to system- imposed service restrictions or space availability that prevents a <br />trip from being provided at the requested time or rescheduled for a time that is <br />convenient to the customer If operating ADA complementary paratransit services, service <br />denial is specifically defined by the ADA as failure to provide a scheduled trip within an <br />hour either side of the requested time to travel. Should no trip be available in that 2 -hour <br />84 <br />"window," the request for service is termed a denial. <br />83A <br />Mobility- Impaired Passenger Trips <br />A passenger trip shall be determined to be a "Mobility Impaired Passenger Trip" if the trip <br />MUST be provided on a lift- equipped vehicle.
